Our Mission
Economics Club hopes to offer an educational platform for the students of Lynbrook to explore the field of both macro and microeconomics and other financial concepts. Our club offers a platform for those who know that economics is something that they like, to get resources, like the chance to participate in competitions, and also allow them to meet with like-minded individuals and discuss. We provide members with information and resources relating to the field of economics in our modern world. Because economics can often seem confusing and lackluster when taken at a glance, we hope we can offer a platform that allows students to find and explore their passion in this field.
Meet the Team
Heyo! I’m Ian Chen, one of your Economics (YEI) co-presidents for this year! While on the surface economics may seem like a “dismal science”, I hope that through our activities and meetings, you’ll be able to see all the wonderful ways that economics exists in your day to day life. Outside of Econ, you can always find me at a boba shop quenching my addiction ;P
Hiya, I’m Francis Chua, and I’ll be your co-president for training this year. I find the application of advanced mathematics in economics to be extremely interesting, and hope I can share that interest with you. Aside from economics, my interests include mathematics and music. I hope to see you at our meetings.
Hey all! I’m Aryan and I will be the VP of Competitions this year! This is my third year being an officer and I love how practical and yet theoretical economics can be! During my free time I like to go on scenic trail runs and binge shows on netflix!

Hi! My name is Raymond and I’ll be your VP of Training this year! I really enjoy the intuitive nature of econ and the impacts it has on our whole world, but could not get support for trying to participate in econ competitions. I hope our club can provide opportunities to myself and other like-minded individuals in our explorations in economics. Outside of Econ, I also enjoy debating, Science Olympiad, and watching anime.
Hey everyone! I’m Vipra and I’ll be your Director or Outreach this year. This is my second year in the club, and I appreciate how useful economics is in day-to-day life, as well as the fact that it rationalizes human behavior! This is my third year in Lynbrook Economics, and I love how applicable economics is to the real world and to my everyday decision making. During my free time, I love trying new pasta recipes, going outdoors, and practicing music. Excited to see everyone back in person again!
Heyo! My name is Anishka, and I will be the Sec/Treas for Econ club this year. I've enjoyed exploring economics since ninth grade, mainly because I love how its applications are so diverse.
